Weightless and melancholy, Little Dreamer is a unique beauty with universal appeal.  The classical face and figure emerge from a waterfall of drapery as she reaches out to grasp that which is momentarily out of reach.  The mood of the pose is dramatized by her facial expression, a tension that ripples down to her toes poised nearly free from the earth. This figurine is a "modello", a small sketch executed in preparation for the life-size bronze version which is currently in progress in the artist's studio.
